Biography
He is a guitarist and luthier, and has been performing for over 15 years with a number of groups, ensembles, and as a solo artist.
He has studied flamenco with some of today's top guitarists in Spain: Manuel Granados, Jose Luis Monton, Carlos Montoya and Pepa Maya.
He is involved in the guitar world in a number of ways - as a maker and restorer, and helping to promote flamenco in this country by bringing over Spain's top flamenco performers.
Musically, he performs in the flamenco trio Candela (dance, guitar and voice), in a guitar duo, and as a soloist. He has also performed in the Brighton-based band Calavera, playing guitar and tres in this fusion of Spanish and Latin American music.
He has also studied Musical Instrument Technology at the London Guildhall University, where he obtained a First Class Honours degree. He is currently setting up his luthier business in Brighton and studying for a Masters musicology degree, in between gigs.
